Patrick David is the founder and CEO of COLO-D. His responsibilities include developing the overall vision, strategic planning and execution of the company’s ambitious business plan. In addition, Patrick works diligently to maintain COLO-D’s reputation for excellence in innovation and operations with clients and partners. Patrick David has been involved in the data center industry for over 15 years and is a pioneer in the development of large-scale data centers in Canada. Patrick has also worked has an international commercial real estate consultant at a subsidiary of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and at a major law firm. Patrick holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UQAM in Montreal and a law degree from University of Montreal. He is a member of the Québec Bar.
Since 2002, Nicolas Bélanger has managed Groupe W Inc., a privately held growth and buyout investment fund, which he co-founded with a business partner. Through Groupe W Inc., Mr. Bélanger has led over 30 investments and he is an active board member for many such investments. Groupe W has invested in companies such as Streamtheworld, Lumenpulse, Distech Controls, iBwave, Audiokinetic, Orckestra, PasswordBox and COLO-D. Mr. Bélanger launched W2 in 2011 and W3 in 2013. These two additional venture capital funds were set up to provide sidecar investments in partnership with a large Québec-based institutional investment fund. In 2007, Ernst & Young named M. Bélanger “Entrepreneur of the Year”. M. Bélanger is also the founder and a board member of Fondation Noël au Printemps, a non-profit organization devoted to helping sick children from low-income familes.
Since May 2004, André Belzile has been the Executive Vice President, Finance and Corporate Affairs of the Jean Coutu Group (PJC) Inc., one of the leading players in Canada’s retail pharmacy market, with annual revenue exceeding 2.8 billion dollars. Prior to serving in this position, from 1992 until May 2004, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Cascades Inc., a producer and marketer of packaging and tissue paper products. He is a chartered accountant and holds a bachelor’s degree from HEC Montréal. Mr. Belzile draws on his 23 years of experience as a chief financial officer to provide the Board with valuable insights and expertise on financial and strategic planning matters relevant to COLO-D’s business and operations.
Since 2013, Dominique Fagnoule has worked for National Bank of Canada, one of the largest integrated financial groups in Canada with assets exceeding 234 billion dollars. Mr. Fagnoule serves as Executive Vice-President – Information Technology and Strategic Initiatives Office. As such, he is responsible for implementing the Bank’s technological strategy. With over 25 years of experience in the field of information technology in the financial services industry, he has previously held a number of senior-level positions in Europe, at BNP Paribas-Personal Finance, FORTIS and at several large-scale financial institutions including Générale de Banque in Belgium. A native of Belgium, Mr. Fagnoule holds a specialized civil engineering degree in electronics from the University of Liège, in Belgium.
Eric Lemieux is the founder of Investissements Éclo, an investment company with a diversified portfolio of public and private investments in a variety of economic sectors and geographical regions. Coming from a family of entrepreneurs, Eric has held the position of Executive Vice-President of Groupe LSR’s board of directors. Groupe LSR is a family business actively involved in the real estate industry in both Canada and the U.S. He was primarily responsible for the strategic orientations of Groupe LSR and its asset management. Eric is particularly interested in the implementation of best practices in matters of governance, in the optimization of asset allocation and in the intergenerational transfer of wealth. He also sits on the board of directors for several companies and foundations.
Michel Ringuet has worked closely with Cycle Capital, Canada’s largest venture capital fund in the cleantech sector, as a member of the fund’s investment committee since its foundation, in 2009. From 2006 to 2016, he was the CEO of Master Group Inc., Eastern Canada’s leading HVAC-R equipment distributor. Prior to this, from 1990 to 2006, Mr. Ringuet held the position of Vice-President, Finance and Administration, at Master Group. Under his leadership, the company grew at a steady and rapid pace, and for the past six years has been listed by Deloitte, CIBC and the Globe & Mail as one of the best managed companies in Canada. During the course of his career, Mr. Ringuet has also held finance and investment positions with National Bank of Canada and BMO. In addition, he currently serves on the boards of publicly traded companies such as Earth Alive Clean Technologies (EAC) and Lumenpulse Inc.(LMP). He is also on the investment committee of many private funds and is the acting Governor of the Tel-Jeunes Foundation with whom he has had a relationship for more than 12 years.
